What turns out to be a beneficial and emotionally draining day really helps Carver start his journey to being happy again. This goodbye day would be spent remembering one of Carver’s best friends by doing with his nana all of the things that he liked to do with his friend. The story takes a turn when Nana Betsy suggests doing a “goodbye day”. Needless to say, Carver is an emotional wreck. Mendez (his therapist), and Nana Betsy (the grandmother of his other dead best friend). ![]() ![]() Luckily, Carver finds solace in Jesmyn (the girlfriend of his now dead best friend), Dr. Everything seems to be going terribly for him, right? Wrong. Amidst the pain of coping and dealing with such a tragic and significant loss, he must face others who blame him as well.
